The Scott Steel factory in Glosderry, Cape Town has been sold by Guy de la Porte of GDP industrial Property Specialists to an unlisted property fund for R13.5 Million. Guy de la Porte persuaded the investors to take the risk of purchasing the property, vacant, on the basis that a tenant would not be dificult to secure due to the fantastic location of the property.
The property is situated at 1 Myhof Road, Glosderry, which is an industrial area behind Access Park (South Africa’s most successful Factory shop complex) and has high exposure onto Landsdowne Road. Glosderry as a whole, has become a factory shop destination and enjoys strong trade throughout the week. Details of the property can be viewed here.
GDP managed to find a tenant a week after selling the property and has concluded a 5 year lease with a national tenant. Details of the lease will be part of GDP’s November Newsletter.
