Montague Gardens is one of Cape Town’s largest and popular industrial areas. Montague Gardens is greater Cape Town’s most modern and well-planned industrial area and arguably the most sought after.
It is situated within 20 minutes of the Cape Town Harbour and Cape Town International Airport. It is located between Cape Town and Bellville and is easily accessible from most nodes through its excellent road and rail network. Montague Gardens is also near the N1 and N7 National roads and the M5.
With multiple transport options available such as the MyCiti bus, Golden Arrow bus and minibus taxi network.
Montague Gardens is the gateway to Cape Town’s West Coast Growth Node. Montague Gardens is a modern industrial suburb and the majority of its buildings are suited to the modern industrial requirements.
Future industrial development is spreading further up the West Coast strip along Koeberg Road and the M5 to Montague Park, Richmond Park, Rivergate, Killarney Gardens and Atlantic Hills.
The Montague Gardens-Marconi Beam Improvement District (MMID) successfully manages the security and cleaning of the area.
Montague Gardens is unique as an industrial area, in that it is surrounded and serviced by numerous residential and commercial areas, which are in close proximity to the industrial activity. In terms of commercial areas, Montague Gardens is serviced by both Century City and the Milnerton CBD. The residential areas range from an upmarket golf estate to lower income areas. Century City is the major growth node for A grade office development in Cape Town and provides Montague Gardens with A Grade Offices, shopping, banking and entertainment. Canal Walk Shopping Centre is just on the periphery of Montague Gardens.
